This handmade side table beautifully pairs oak and stoneware with a contemporary design featuring wave details on the legs. The oak table top is made from locally sourced, repurposed felled urban trees that would have been burned. It has been stained black and has an asymmetrical oval shape that features characterful knots, grains and a smooth finish. The two legs are made from black textured stoneware clay with oscillating waves that represent the waves of emotion when falling in lust.
Created by Miyelle at her studio in Hackney, London, this unique piece is part of her “In Lust” collection. It was inspired by the feelings of fantasy and intense attraction associated with lustful desire. In 2023 Miyelle was awarded the Highly Commended prize in the Homes & Gardens Design Awards for the Best Small Furniture category for the Sway Side Table Cream.
