This handmade side table beautifully pairs oak, stoneware and gold lustre with a contemporary design featuring gold circular details. The oak table top is made from locally sourced, repurposed felled urban trees that would have been burned. It has an asymmetrical oval shape that features characterful knots, grains and a smooth finish. The two legs are made from flecked stoneware clay with 24 karat gold lustre circular motifs on either side, inspired by the other-worldly, dizzying highs one feels when falling in lust. Created by Miyelle at her studio in Hackney, London, this unique piece is part of her “In Lust” collection. It was inspired by the feelings of fantasy and intense attraction associated with lustful desire.
