Slab Espresso Cup

The Slab Espresso Cup, with its distinctive overlap detail is made using the slab building technique. A sheet of clay is rolled out and each design is created from a simple cut-out circle, rectangle and semi cicrle. While the design feels clean and contemporary, we are reminded that this is a handmade item in the variation of shape with each unique piece. It is hand built with a mix of two stoneware clays with a flecked texture.
